Brief: Provide PR support for Enterprise UK’s (E-UK) Make Your Mark with a Tenner, which challenges 11-18 year olds to start a business with just £10.

How?  Our media relations campaign highlighting the brand, the benefits of being involved in such a scheme, success stories and unusual business ideas. We commissioned five giant £10 notes and staged a series of photocalls at participating schools across the East Midlands to capture and engage media interest. We also encouraged and facilitated the opportunity for one of Derby’s entrepreneurs, Scott Chapman, who went on to win, to be filmed for E-UK’s Tenner O’Clock News. This campaign ensured Enterprise UK gained significant message coverage in key regional and national media outlets.

Results:  In one month, we achieved 32 pieces of coverage, which reached over one million people. Coverage appeared in all key regional daily and weekly newspapers, including in the Derby Telegraph, Nottingham Post and Lincolnshire Echo. National coverage of Scott Chapman included interviews on BBC Breakfast and Working Lunch and articles in The Sun and The Daily Telegraph.
