The champagne corks are flying at Lava’s Lincoln office after it was crowned Outstanding Small Consultancy by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Lava picked up the Gold Award in the Small Consultancy of the year category of the CIPR PRide Awards at a prestigious ceremony at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.

As well as being named Outstanding Small Consultancy, Lava also picked up a Silver award in the Best Public Sector PR campaign for its work with East Lindsey District Council promoting the visit of international arts festival Black / North SEAS to Skegness.

“Everyone at Lava is over the moon,” said Matt Hammerton, Lava’s managing director. “The Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards celebrate the best in regional PR and we’re delighted to be recognised as the best small consultancy in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Everyone at Lava tries their hardest to deliver effective campaigns for our clients and these awards prove that we’re delivering great work and creating a great place to work.”

The CIPR judges observed that Lava’s entry: “Gave a clear picture of a small consultancy with a clear proposition, strong culture and values and resulting success. Of particular note was the launch of the consultancy’s client satisfaction and best practice programme. Commitment to staff training, development and team building is excellent as is the undergraduate internship programme. Lava has achieved impressive pitch success and has an enviable client list.”

Carol Arthur, Chair of CIPR Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, said: “The CIPR PRide Awards recognise and reward the thriving PR profession from across the UK. They help to celebrate the importance of demonstrating the value of what we, as public relations professionals, do and the positive impact this profession has on all aspects of business.  Being named as a CIPR PRide Award winner is a fantastic achievement and I congratulate all of this year’s winners.”
